From April 16th-17th, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Disney Spring Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

John Mark Mills from Pontotoc, MS was the first-place finisher this weekend. Mills brought in scores of 69 and 73 for a combined total of 142 for the weekend. Elian Infante from Mississauga, Canada, and Luke Schaal from Invermere, Canada tied for the runner-up this weekend with scores of 71 and 72, and 72 and 71, respectively, for a total of 143 each.
Boys 14-15

Ethan Hill from Maraval, Trinidad and Tobago was the first-place finisher this weekend. HIll brought in scores of 75 and 76 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Bradley “Fritz” Rittel from Juno Beach, FL was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 81 and 73 for a combined total of 154. Avery Liu from Windermere, FL finished with top three honors with scores of 80 and 76 for a weekend total of 156.
Boys 11-13

Héctor Pérez Sainz from Mexico City, Mexico was the first-place finisher after beating Yaohang Zhu in a sudden-death playoff match. Pérez Sainz brought in scores of 71 and 74 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Yaohang Zhu from Windermere, FL was the runner-up this weekend after the playoff match with scores of 75 and 70 for a combined total of 145. Ayden Febres from St. Cloud, FL finished with top three honors with scores of 76 and 72 for a weekend total of 148.
Girls 14-18

Gwendolyn Yarnall from East Aurora, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Yarnall brought in scores of 76 and 73 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Alexa Ouellet from Toronto, Canada, Clara Peake from Binscarth, Canada, and Ariana Urrea from Windermere, FL tied for runner-up this weekend with scores of 74 and 77, 76 and 75, and 73 and 78, respectively, for a combined total of 151 each.
Girls U13

Zoe Gryniewicz from Wauwatosa, WI was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gryniewicz brought in scores of 83 and 89 for a combined total of 172 for the weekend. Shanel Rodriguez from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 90 and 83 for a combined total of 173.
Boys 10 Under

Trebor Melendez from Vineland, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Melendez brought in scores of 72 and 71 for a combined total of 143 for the weekend. Lucas Lu from Orlando, FL was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 71 and 73 for a combined total of 144. Bradley Kim from Manhasset, NY finished with top three honors with scores of 86 and 87 for a weekend total of 173.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
