Disney Spring Break Junior Open

From March 13-14 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held theRichmond Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Guillermo Polo-Bodart from Bradenton, FLwas the first-place finisher this weekend. Polo-Bodart  brought in scores of 72 and 68 for a combined total of 140 for the weekend. JP Odland from Tiburon, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 70 and 71 for a combined total of 141. Andrew Gwilliams from Bradford, Canada finished the top three honors with scores of 70 and 71 for a weekend total of 142.

Davis Downing from Windermre, FLwas the first-place finisher this weekend. Downing brought in scores of 76 and 73 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Luke Smith  from Toronto, Canada was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 77 for a combined total of 151. Jiacheng Xu from Winter Garden, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 77and 76 for a weekend total of 153.

Aarush Malmandi from Edgewater, NJ finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 72 for a weekend total of 151.

Martina Orozco from Bogota, Columbia finished the top three honors with scores of 69 and 76 for a weekend total of 145.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
