Disney Junior Open Presented by FH Wadsworth

From February 8th through the 9th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Disney Junior Open Presented by FH Wadsworth. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13,  Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Seung Beom Yu from Windermere, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Yu brought in scores of 71 and 72 for a combined total of 143 for the weekend. With a tie for second, Kazuki Yamauch from Japan was the first runner up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 71 for a combined total of 144. Yuvraajbir Singh Sodhi from Delhi, India was the second runner up with scores of 71 and 73 for a weekend total of 144.

Kelvin Hernandez, from Puerto Rico was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 77 and 74 for a combined total of 151. George Aguilera from Kissimmee, FL  was the runner up with scores of 72 and 80 for a 152 weekend total. Diego Robbles from Puerto Rico finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 80 for a weekend total of 159.

Clark Mason from St. Petersburg, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Mason brought in scores of 73 and 74 with a combined score of 147. Davis Downing from Windermere, FL was the second-place finisher with scores of 73 and 77 for a total of 150. There was a tie for third place, first for third place was Kirill Zubov from Majorca Spain. Zubov ended the weekend with scores of 79 and 77 for a total of 156.  Landen Howard from Richmond, KY also tied for third place. Howard ended the weekend with scores if 78 and 78 for a total of 156.

Yang Hyori from Windermere, FL was the top finisher with impressive scores of 68 and 74 for a 142 weekend finish. Eunjeong Choi from Winter Garden, FL took home the runner up title with scores of 75 and 71 for a weekend total of 146. There was a tie for third place, first for third place was Hamin Seo from Windermere, FL. Seo ended the weekend with scores of 75 and 72 for a total of 147. Yura Kim from Windermere, FL also tied for third place. Kim ended the weekend with scores if 77 and 70 for a total of 147.

Ying Shi Lin from China was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 73 and 71. Her combined total for the weekend was 144 strokes. Ann-Sophie Bourgault from Mont Tremblant Canade was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 78, a combined total of 157 strokes. Greta Gobezie from Chagrin Falls, OH finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 81 for a weekend total of 162.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
