From February 5th-6th, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Disney Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Evan Buddenhagen from Gloucester, MA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Buddenhagen brought in scores of 70 and 72 for a combined total of 142 for the weekend. Chris Terzian from Gainesville, FL was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 75 and 69 for a total of 144. Andrew Gwilliams from Bradford, Canada, and Lucas Smith from Hamilton, Canada, tied for top three honors this weekend. Gwilliams brought in scores of 76 and 70 and Smith brought in scores of 70 and 76 for a total of 146 each.
Boys 14-15

Jiacheng Xu from Winter Garden, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Xu brought in scores of 76 and 71 for a weekend total of 147. Mike Liu from Lake Mary, FL was the runner-up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 73 for a combined total of 148. David Fuhrer from Pittsburgh, PA finished top three honors with scores of 76 and 75 for a weekend total of 151.
Boys 11-13

Shayaan Kim from Rockledge, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kim brought in scores of 70 and 73 for a combined total of 143 for the weekend. Charlie Woods from North Palm Beach, FL was the runner-up with scores of 75 and 72 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Nicklaus Downing from Windermere, FL finished top three honors with scores of 78 and 75 for a weekend total of 153.
Girls 14-18

Andrea Woods from Riverview, FL was the first place finisher this weekend. Woods brought in scores of 78 and 73 for a combined total of 151 on the weekend. Brooke Frerichs from Calgary, Canada was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 80 and 73 for a combined total of 153. Ava Bankston from Franklin, TN finished top three honors with a score of 78 both rounds for a weekend total of 156.
Girls U13

Adalynne Forchette from Peachtree City, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Forchette brought in scores of 91 and 85 for a weekend total of 176. Isabelle Michetti from Naples, FL was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 99 and 93 for a combined total of 192.
Boys 10 Under

Lucas Lu from Orlando, FL was the first place finisher this weekend. Lu brought in scores of 81 and 72 for a weekend total of 153. Juan Lucas Mariatti was the runner-up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 75 for a combined total of 155. Ricardo Arango from Panama, Panama finished top three honors with scores of 84 and 86 for a total of 170 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
