From Feburary 4-5, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Dallas Kickoff at Tangle Ridge. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18
Grady Cox from Rio Communitiies, NM was the first-place finisher this weekend. Cox brought in scores of 82 and 71 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Jaime Romeral from Majadahonda, Spain was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 76 for a combined total of 155. Patrick Hastings from Wayzata, MN finished the top three honors with scores of 80 and 77 for a weekend total of 157.
Boys 14-15
Colin Hastings from Wayzata, MN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hastings brought in scores of 86 and 77 for a combined total of 163 for the weekend. Landyn Cassels from Colony, TX was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 90 and 83 for a combined total of 173.
Boys 11-13
Krish Shah from Dallas, TX was the first-place finisher this weekend. Shah brought in scores of 83 and 79 for a combined total of 162 for the weekend.
Girls 14-18
Girls U13
Dixie Mae Crain from SpringTown, TX was the first-place finisher this weekend. Crain brought in scores of 74 and 75 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Gracie Walker from McKinney, TX was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 82 for a combined total of 159. Kingston Burke from Frisco, TX and Kaitlyn Hines from Mesquite, TX tied to finish out the top three honors. Burke had scores of 97 and 94 and Hines had scores of 102 and 89 which led them both to finish with a weekend total of 191.
Boys 10 Under
Cole Murphy from Prosper, TX was the first-place finisher this weekend. Murphy brought in scores of 78 and 75 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Braxton Thomas from Stilwell, OK was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 94 and 82 for a combined total of 176. Bear Sullivan from Vero Beach, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 98 and 92 for a weekend total of 190.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
