From Saturday, April 27 – Sunday, April 28, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Dalhousie Junior Open at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau, MO. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys 10 and Under, and the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.
The competition was fierce in the Tiger Woods Division, as there was a tie for first place. Carsen Silliman of Jackson, MO and Michael Bugyis of St. Louis, MO each finished with 153 strokes. After the playoff, Carsen Silliman ended up on top. Nicholas Meunier of Harrison, TN rounded out the division with 168 strokes.
Oakley Gee of Carmi, IL took the gold in the Will Smith Division, as he took home the gold by finishing with 154 strokes. There was a tough race for the silver, but Ian Davis of Makanda, IL took it home with 178 strokes. Carrington Newell took the final spot on the podium with 179 strokes.
Quinn Thomas of Hannibal, MO was the champion in the Ernie Els Division, as he finished out the weekend very consistently, by finishing with 75 strokes on Saturday and 75 strokes again on Sunday. Ian Lambert of Jackson, MO took home the silver with 158 strokes. Just one stroke behind Lambert was Bubba Chapman of St. Louis, MO.
It was a close call in the Justin Timberlake Division, but Trinity Beth of Calvert City, KY took home the gold as she finished with 165 strokes. Just two strokes shy of first was Ella Overstreet of Jackson, MO, as she took home the silver. Just one stroke behind Overstreet was Nicole Rallo of Wentzville, MO.
Boys 10 Under
Caden Fehr of Wildwood, MO took home the gold in the Bryson DeChambeau Divison with 175 strokes. Lyoto Bellon of St. Louis, MO took home the silver with 194 strokes.
