College Prep Series at UGA

From November 2nd to the 3rd, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the College Prep Series at UGA. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

College Prep Series at UGA

Perry-Austin Kilburn from Monroe, Georgia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kilburn brought in scores of 73 and 71 for a combined total of 143 for the weekend. Mark Brown from John Creeks, Georgia was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 74 for a combined total of 149. Trevor Bassett from McDonough, Georgia finished the top three honors with scores of 74 and 76 for a weekend total of 150 strokes.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

College Prep Series at UGA

Camden Goldknopf, from Ponte Vedra, Florida was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 79 and 76 for a combined total of 156. Aran Patel from Alpharetta, Georgia was the runner up with scores of 84 and 78 for a 162 weekend total. Owen Baginski from Alpharetta, Georgia finished the top three honors with scores of 86 and 81 for a weekend total of 167.

Ernie Els 11-13

College Prep Series at UGA

Aiden Patel from Ashburn, Virginia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Patel brought in scores of 75 and 79 with a combined score of 154. Dodd Ferrelle from Winterville, Georgia was the second-place finisher with scores of 83 and 78 for a total of 161 strokes. To round out the top three was Josh Durthaler from Dunwoody, Georgia. Durthaler ended the weekend with scores of 83 and 78 for a total of 152.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

College Prep Series at UGA

Iris Cao from Duluth, Georgia was the top finisher with impressive scores of 72 and 77 for a 149-weekend finish. Kyndall Shamblin from Cleveland, Tennessee took home the runner up title with scores of 78 and 74 for a weekend total of 152. Ava Merrill from Johns Creek Georgia rounded out the top three with scores of 76 and 76 for a combined total of 152.

Justin Rose Girls U13

College Prep Series at UGA

Kate Barber from Savannah, Georgia was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 76 and 81. Her combined total for the weekend was 157 strokes. Kylee Lynn from Opelika, Alabama was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 78 for a combined total of 159 strokes. Amelia Cobb from Jacksonville, Florida took home third place for the weekend with scores of 85 and 74 for a weekend total of 159.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
