College Prep Series at UF

From January 2nd to the 3rd, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the College Prep Series at UF. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys  U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

College Prep Series at UF

Camden Smith from Windermere, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Smith brought in scores of 75 and 72 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Chris Terzian from Gainesville, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 71 for a combined total of 150. Adam Strecker from Apopka, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 74 and 79 for a weekend total of 153.

College Prep Series at UF

Josiah Tong from Heritage Pointe, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tong brought in scores of 78 and 79 for a combined total of 157 for the weekend. Charlie Pettrone from Crystal Lake, IL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 87 for a combined total of 166. Clark Sonnenberg from Albuquerque, NM finished the top three honors with scores of 86 and 83 for a weekend total of 169.

Lorenzo Rodriguez from Miami, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Rodriguez brought in scores of 72 and 75 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Mihir Roperia from Cranbury, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 79 for a combined total of 154. Jeremiah Smith from Viera, FL finished the top three honors with consistant scores of 81 for a weekend total of 162.

Sarah Zheng from Bolingbrook, IL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Zheng brought in scores of 79 and 76 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend. McKenzie Coody from Orange City, FL, Ella Overstreet from Jackson, MO, and Lucy Wiegert from Cochran, GA tied for the second place honors. Coody brought in scores of 78 and 81 for a weekend total of 159. Overstreet finished with scores of 80 and 79 for a total of 159. Wiegert brought in scores of 79 and 80 for a combined total of 159.

Jolie Pastorick from Sarasota, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Pastorick brought in scores of 77 and 79 for a combined total of 156 for the weekend. Savannah Goodman from Bonifay, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 76 for a combined total of 160. Briel Royace from Lake Nona, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 90 for a combined total of 171.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
