From May 14-15, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tourheld the College Prep series at the University of Kentucky. The tournament wasmade up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included theBoys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18Division.
Boys 16-18

Trey Voss from Cincinnati, Ohio was the first-place finisher this weekend. Voss brought in scores of 76 and 77 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Carson Childress from Hodgenville, Kentucky was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 77 for a combined total of 153.Parker Boehne finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 77 for a total of 153. The three-way tie for first place sent the juniors to a playoff hole, Voss claimed victory over Childress and Boehne.
Boys 14-15

Harrison Zipfel from University City, Missouri was the first-place finisher this weekend. Zipfel brought in scores of 75 and 71 for a combined total of 146 for the weekend. Nick Vilela from Washington, Missouri was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 76 for a combined total of 154. Turin Duber from Bardstown, Kentucky finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 78 for a weekend total of 159.
Boys 11-13

Lyoto Bellon from Saint Louis, Missouri was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bellon brought in scores of 76 and 74 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Carter Denton from Frankfort, Kentucky was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 73 for a combined total of 156. Carson Nicholas from Lexington, Kentucky finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 76 for a weekend total of 161.
Girls 14-18

Macie Brown from Mount Washington, Kentucky was the first-place finisher this weekend. Brown brought in scores of 67 and 71 for a combined total of 138 for the weekend. Jaylee Castro from Kansas City, Missouri was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 71 for a combined total of 147. Madison Borders from Bardstown, Kentucky finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 73 for a weekend total of 152.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
