College Prep Series at Kent State

From October 23-24, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the College Prep Series at Kent State. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

College Prep Series at Kent State

Dylan Dunn from Stow, OH was the first-place finisher this weekend after a playoff win against Blake Bertolo from Gibsonia, PA. Dunn brought in scores of 73 and 70 for a combined total of 143 for the weekend. Bertolo finished with scores of 71 and 72 for a weekend total of 143. Charlie Fischer from Orchard Park, NY finished the top three honors with scores of 75 and 71 for a weekend total of 146.

Lucas Dietrich from Rocky River, OH was the first-place finisher this weekend. Dietrich brought in scores of 78 and 70 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Evan Fix from St. Clairsville, OH was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 82 for a combined total of 166. Bobby Kieber Jr. from Newark, OH finished the top three honors with scores of 102 and 108 for a weekend total of 176.

Aaron Didjunas from McKeesport, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Didjunas brought in scores of 79 and 72 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Michael Quallich from Pittsburgh, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 76 for a combined total of 152. Brady Evans from New Philadelphia, OH finished the top three honors with scores of 80 and 76 for a weekend total of 156.

Hannah Higgins from North Canton, OH finished the top three honors with scores of 86 and 76 for a weekend total of 162.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
