College Prep Series at Clemson

From Monday July 22nd through Tuesday July 23rd, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the College Prep Series at Clemson. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, and Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

College Prep Series at Clemson

Panop Norasing of Orlando, FL was able to seal his victory after a playoff against his closest competitor, Alexandre d’Aurelle de Paladines of France. Both players had weekend totals of 143 with impressive final rounds of 70 and 71 consecutively. Norasing won the playoff leaving d’Aurelle to claim runner-up honors. Rounding up the top-three was Anthony Kanapos Visuttipinate of Florida with a weekend total of 144 strokes to claim solo third-place honors.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

College Prep Series at Clemson

Run Ni of Orlando, FL was able to seal his victory with rounds of 78 and 73, making 5 birdies on Tuesday to finish at a two-day total of 151 strokes. Ni was able to win by a one-shot margin over his closest competitor. Evan Prickett North Augusta, SC claimed runner-up honors with a total of 152 shots for the weekend. Rounding up the top three was Pannawit Leelalumlert of Orlando, FL with a total of 155 strokes to claim solo third-place honors.

Ernie Els 11-13

College Prep Series at Clemson

Hugh Faulkner of Greenville, SC was able to seal his victory with a final round of 75 and a total of 149 strokes. Faulkner made 3 birdies the last day to win by a one-stroke margin over his closest competitor. Jake Dalton of Gillsville, GA shot a total of 150 strokes with rounds of 75 and 75 to claim solo runner-up honors for the division. Rounding up the top-three was Luke Kruger of Arlington Heights, IL with a weekend total of 158 strokes to claim solo third-place honors.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

College Prep Series at Clemson

Brooke Oberparleiter of Laurel Springs, NJ claimed first place honors after shooting a final round 72 to win by a margin of 4 strokes over her closest competitor. Oberparleiter shot a total of 151 strokes and made 3 birdies the last day to win. Caleigh Street of Jewell Ridge, VA shot a total of 156 strokes to claim solo runner-up honors. Rounding up the division was Bridget Forgatch of Palm Beach Gardens, FL with a total of 158 strokes for the week to claim solo third place honors.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
