From July 2-3, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Massachusetts Summer Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division
Boys 16-18

Billy Boroughs from Chattanooga, Tennessee was the first-place finisher this weekend after beating Jordan Kish from Massillon, Ohio in a playoff match. Boroughs brought in scores of 78 and 72 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Kish was the runner up with scores of 73 and 77 for a combined total of 150. Ryan Wijaya from Yogyakarta, Indonesia finished the top three honors with scores of 73 and 78 for a weekend total of 151.
Boys 14-15

Wyatt Lupo from Greenwich, Connecticut was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lupo brought in scores of 76 and 84 for a combined total of 160 for the weekend. Jack O’Quinn from Maryville, Tennessee was the runner up with scores of 78 and 83 for a combined total of 161. Nicolas Santoso from Banten, Indonesia finished the top three honors with scores of 83 and 80 for a weekend total of 163.
Boys 11-13

Kipp Madison from Augusta, Georgia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Madison brought ins scores of 71 and 79 for a combined total of 150 for thew weekend. Grant Odom from Statesboro, Georgia was the runner up with scores of 75 and 76 for a combined total of 151. Braceton Beasley from Glenwood, Georgia finished the top three honors with scores of 75 and 78 for a weekend total of 153.
Girls 14-18

Anne Fernandez from Albany, Bahamas was the first-place finisher this weekend. Fernandez brought in scores of 65 and 71 for a combined total of 136 for the weekend. Biya Wang from Guanzhou, China was the runner up with scores of 80 and 79 for a combined total of 159. Akiera Sanchez from Goose Creek, South Carolina finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 83 for a weekend total of 160.
Girls U13

Harper Hedden from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hedden brought in scores of 92 and 87 for a combined total of 179 for the weekend.
Boys 10 Under

Zane Madison from Augusta, Georgia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Madison brought in scores of 76 and 74 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Joshua Johnson Jr. from Bluffton, South Carolina was the runner up with scores of 75 and 82 for a combined total of 157.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
