Coastal Carolina Junior Open

From February 27-28, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the 54 Hole Southern California Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 54-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.

Boys 16-18

Coastal Carolina Junior Open

Colt Ingram from Aiken, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Ingram brought in scores of 72 and 71 for a combined total of 143 for the weekend. Miles Eubanks from Warrenvill, Sc was the runner up for the weekend. Eubanks finished with scores of 70 and 73  for a combined total of 143. Ronnie Cao from Yunnan, China and Tyler Jones from Jacksonville, NC tied for the top three honors for the weekend. Cao brought in scores of 73 and 71 and Jones 69 and 75 for a weekend total of 144.

Coastal Carolina Junior Open

Cole Shingleton from Moseley, VA was the first-place finisher for the weekend. Shingleton brought in scores of 72 and 78 for a final total of 150. Reese Jensen from Duxbury, MA was the runner up for the weekend. Jensen finished with consistent scores of 76 for a weekend total of 152. Gabe Schmitz from Fort Mill, SC finished the weekend with the top three honors. Schmitz brought in back to back 77’s for a weekend total of 154.

Ethan Weinberg from Marlboro, NJ was the first-place finisher for the weekend. Weinburg brought in scores of 74 and 80 for a weekend total of 154. Liam Foster from Charlottesville, VA was the second place finisher for the weekend with scores of 83 and 78. He finished the weekend with a final scores of 161. Jamen Sanders from Goose Creek, SC finished with the top three honors for the weekend. Sanders brought in scores of 85 and 77 for a grand total of 162.

Amelia Rae Greenlee from Roseville, CA was the first-place finisher for the weekend. Greenlee brought in scores of 79 and 75 for a weekend total of 154. Tara Thomas from Erie, PA was the runner up for the weekend. Thomas brought in scores of 89 and 81 for a weekend total of 170. Finishing in the top three honors was Noe Hirota from Tokyo, Japan and Akiera Sanchez from Goose Creek, SC. Hirota brought in scores of 90 and 85 and Sanchez 86 and 89 for a weekend total of 175.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
