From February 22nd to the 23rd, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the ClubCorp Series #1 at Canongate Golf Course. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format, with a field of six different divisions that include Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Boys Under 10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

Charlie Flemming from Alpharetta, Georgia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Charlie brought in impressive scores of 72 and 77 for a total of 149 for the weekend. Sam Bremmett out of  Newnan, Georgia was the runner up with scores of 78 and 77 for a total of 155. Renato Gerena Jr. from Peachtree City, Georgia and Kipp Coker from Cohutta, Georgia rounded out the top honors with both finishing with 157 strokes over the 36 holes.

Jackson Cavanaugh brought home a first-place finish this weekend. Jackson posted scores of 85 and 73 for a total of 158 strokes, claiming first-place on a playoff. Miles Eubanks out of Warrenville, South Carolina was the runner up with consistent scores of 79 for a total of 158. Tim Powers out of St. Louis, Missouri rounded out the top three honors posting scores of 81 and 86 for a total of 167 strokes on the weekend.

Kai Marko from Roswell, Georgia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kai brought in solid scores of 83 and 75 for a total of 158. Kyle Huryn out of Alpharetta, Georgia and Rogelio Gerena out of Peachtree City, Georgia tied for second place this weekend both with scores of 165 for the weekend.

Ella Stoll out of Acworth, Georgia brought home a first-place finish this weekend. Ella posted impressive scores of 87 and 78 for a total of 165 strokes. Reagan Waggoner out of Birmingham, Alabama was the runner up this weekend posting scores of 89 and 81 for a total of 170 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors this weekend was Ashleigh Mead, from McDonough, Georgia posting scores of 91 and 81 for a total of 172 strokes.

Wil Huddleston from Maryville, Tennessee was the runner up posting scores of 91 and 84 for a total of 175 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors on the weekend was Joshua Chang out of Auburn, Alabama who posted scores of 94 and 89 for a total of 183 strokes.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
