From July 23-24, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Cleveland Summer Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
David Swab, from North Royalton, Ohio was the first-place finisher this weekend. Swab brought in scores of 74 and 70 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Dylan Dunn, from Stow, Ohio was the runner up with scores of 78 and 69 for a combined total of 147. Austin Malley, from Venetia, Pennsylvania finished the top three honors with scores of 72 and 76 for a weekend total of 148.
Tanner Wood, from Reynoldsburg, Ohio was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wood brought in scores of 81 and 77 for a combined total of 158 for the weekend.
James Dexter Jr., from Hudson, Ohio was the first-place finisher this weekend. Dexter Jr. brought in scores of 74 and 78 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Nicholas Pollak, from Aurora, Ohio was the runner up with scores of 75 and 82 for a combined total of 157. Collin Bauer, from Fort Wayne, Indiana finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 81 for a weekend total of 166.
Ashley Kizzen, from Medina, Ohio was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kizzen brought in scores of 75 and 72 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Zoey Stern, from Greenville, Pennsylvania was the runner up with scores of 81 and 73 for a combined total of 154. Abigail Retherford, from Ravenna, Ohio finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 75 for a weekend total of 157.
Elizabeth Pollock, from Moreland Hills, Ohio was the first-place finisher this weekend. Pollock brought in scores of 80 and 79 for a combined total of 159 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
