From April 10-11 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Cleveland Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Boys 16-18

Ryan Dollenmayer from Westerville, OH was the first place finisher for the weekend. Dollenmayer finished with scores of 80 and 72 for a weekend total of 152. Ben Scheeff from Olmsted Township, OH was the runner up for the weekend. Scheeff finished with scores of 77 and 76 for a weekend total of 153. Ryan Sam from Canfield, OH and Preston Trumpler from Medina, OH tied for the top three honors. Sam finished with scores of 82 and 73 and Trumpler finished with scores of 78 and 77 for a weekend total of 155.
Boys 14-15

Cahle Roth from Archbold, OH was the first place finisher for the weekend. Roth finished with consistent scores of 82 for a weekend total of 164. Parker Barrett from Aurora, OH was the runner up for the weekend. Barrett finished with scores of 82 and 85 for a weekend total of 167. Connor Nartker from Kalida, OH rounded out the top three honors with scores of 91 and 81 for a 172 weekend finish.
Boys 11-13

Alexander Eckstein from Poland, OH was the first place finisher for the weekend. Eckstein finished with scores of 89 and 82 for a weekend total of 171. Dexter James Jr. from Hudson, OH was the second place finisher for the weekend. James finished with scores of 83 and 90 for a 173 weekend finish.
Girls 14-18

Kaitlin Kormuth from Solon, OH was the first place finisher for the weekend. Kormuth brought in scores of 81 and 85 for a weekend total of 166. Mattie Muckleroy from Uniontown, OH was the runner up for the weekend. Muckleroy finished with consistent scores of 85 for a weekend total of 170. Brooklyn Millard from Aurora, OH rounded out the top three honors. Millard finished with scores of 86 and 85 for a weekend total of 171.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
