Chicago Spring Kickoff at Harborside

From April 3-4 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Chicago Spring Kickoff at Harborside. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.

Alex Felicione from Northfield, IL was the first place finisher for the weekend after winning the playoff. Felicione finished with scores of 73 and 81 for a weekend total of 154. Myles Cunningham III from Winnetka, IL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 69 for a weekend finish of 154. Rounding out the top three honors was Anders Larson from Pine Island, MN. Larson brought in scores of 76 and 78 for a weekend total of 154.

Kevin Wesolowski from Hickory Hills, IL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Wesolowski brought in scores of 81 and 78 for a weekend total of 159. Charlie Henger from Chicago, IL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 92 and 82, a total of 174. Joseph Wisocki from Willmar, MN rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Wisocki finished with scores of 97 and 86 for a weekend total of 183.

Oscar Frye from Brownsburg, IN was the first place finisher for the weekend. Frye finished with scores of 84 and 79 for a weekend total of 163. Tyce Ortega from Wauwatosa, WI was the runner up for the weekend. Ortega finished with scores of 87 and 81 for a weekend total of 168. Bobby Felicione from Northfield, IL rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Felicione finished with scores of 89 and 80 for a weekend total of 169.

Jordana Windhorst-Knudsen from Lake City, MN was the first place finisher for the weekend. Windhorst-Knudsen brought in scores of 84 and 79 for a weekend total of 163. Rylie Pryor from Buffalo Grove, IL was the runner up for the weekend. Pryor finished with scores of 97 and 89 for a weekend total of 186. Jenna Noort from Crown Point, IN rounded out the top three honors. Noort finished with scores of 113 and 110 for a weekend total of 223.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
