Chicago Spring Junior Open at St. Andrews

From May 8-9, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Chicago Spring Junior Open at St. Andrews. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division,  Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.

Boys 16-18

Chicago Spring Junior Open at St. Andrews

Aidan Healy from New Lenox, IL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Healy finished with scores of 75 and 76 for a weekend total of 151. Jack Hilgenberg from Sioux Falls, SD was the runner up for the weekend. Hilgenberg brought in socres of 77 and 76 for a weekend total of 153. Alex Lilly from South Elgin, IL rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Lilly brought in scores of 76 and 82 for a weekend total of 158.

Chicago Spring Junior Open at St. Andrews

Matt Sims from Naperville, IL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Sims finished with scores of 81 and 87 for a weekend total of 168. Owen Howe from Des Moines, IA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 87 and 83 for a weekend total of 170. Charlie Pettrone from Crystal Lake, IL rounded out the top three honors with consistent scores of 83, a weekend total of 171.

Matthew Filipp from Rochester Hills, MI was the first place finisher for the weekend. Filipp brought in scores of 80 and 83 for a weekend total of 163. Michael Hahn from Lake Forest, IL was the runner up for the weekend. Hahn finished with scores of 85 and 82 a weekend total of 167. Dillion Sevim from Chicago, IL rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Sevim brought in scores of 113 and 11 for a weekend total of 224.

Kendall Farm from Carol Stream, IL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Farm brought in scores of 73 and 78 for a weekend total of 151. Camille Kuznik from Orono, MN was the runner up for the weekend. Kuznik finished with scores of 74 and 82 for a weekend total of 156. Meilin Hoshino from Chicago, IL rounded out the top three honors with scores of 80 and 79, a weekend total of 159.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
