From October 19th to the 20th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Chicago Fall Jr. Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10,  Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Chicago Fall Jr. Open

Marty Swab from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin was the first-place finisher this weekend. Swab brought in scores of 73 and 72 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Michael Smith from Valparaiso, Indiana was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 79 for a combined total of 162. Collin Thomey from Germantown, Wisconsin finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 84 for a weekend total of 163.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

Chicago Fall Jr. Open

Emil Riegger, from Hinsdale, Illinois was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 88 and 79 for a combined total of 167. Emil Riegger  from  Hinsdale, Illinois was the runner up with scores of 88 and 79 for a 167 weekend total. Reigger ties with Isaac Embry from Crown Point, Indiana finished with scores of 79 and 88 for a weekend total of 167.

Ernie Els 11-13

Chicago Fall Jr. Open

Kevin Wesolowski from Hickory Hills, Illinois was the first-place finisher this weekend after a play-off. Wesolowski brought in scores of 81 and 76 with a combined score of 152. Scott Joseph from Lemont, Illinois was the second-place finisher with scores of 75 and 82 for a total of 152. To round out the top three was Edward Scott from Lemont, Illinois. Scott ended the weekend with scores of 77 and 87 for a total of 164.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

Chicago Fall Jr. Open

Lisa Copeland from Naperville, Illinois went home as champion this weekend. Copeland brought in scores of 84 and  78 for a combined total of 162 for the weekend. Copeland is an 11 year old playing up. Julia Bockstahler of Oak Forest, Illinois came in as runner up for the weekend. Bockstahler put up scores of 75 and 89 for a combined total of 162. Elle Astete of Hoffman Estates, Illinois was the third place finisher with scores of 91 and 87 for a weekend total of 178.

Justin Rose Girls U13

Chicago Fall Jr. Open

Campbell Ray from Long Grove, Illinois was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 93 and 84. Her combined total for the weekend was 177 strokes. Nora Rodman from Valparaiso, Indiana was the runner up with scores of 93 and 95 for a total of 188. Sophia Golf of Quincy, Illinois finished third. She had scores of 97 and 94 for a total of 191.

Chicago Fall Jr. Open

Sam Carraher from Crowne Point, Indiana was the first-place finisher this weekend. Carraher brought in scores of 77 and 76 with a combined score of 153. William Cui of Lake Forest Illinois was the runner up with scores of 84 and 81 for a total score of 165. Finishing in third is Lucianno Giangrossi of Evanston, Illinois. Giangrossi finished with scores of 86 and 87 for a total of 173.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
