From July 2-3, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Charlotte Summer Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Trent Cade from Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina was the first-place finisher this weekend. Cade brought in scores of 71 and 70 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Zihang Qiu from Ningbo, China was the runner up with scores of 70 and 72 for a combined total of 142. Colby McCaskill from Fort Mill, South Carolina finished the top three honors with scores of 71and 79 for a weekend total of 150.
Aiden Clark from Davidson, North Carolina was the first-place finisher this weekend. Clark brought in scores of 72 and 36 for a combined total of 108 for the weekend. Gabe deBuhr from Mint Hill, North Carolina was the runner up with scores of 77 and 36 for a combined total of 113. Parker Harcum from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and Lewis Niad from Oak Ridge, Tennessee finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 39, and 80 and 36, respectively, for a weekend total of 116 each.
Andrew Blanchette from Davidson, North Carolina was the first-place finisher this weekend. Blanchette brought in scores of 77 and 68 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Dexter James Jr. from Hudson, Ohio was the runner up with scores of 77 and 41 for a combined total of 118. Carson Kean from North Carolina finished the top three honors with scores of 105 and 77 for a weekend total of 182.
Alexis Blanchette from Davidson, North Carolina was the first-place finisher this weekend. Blanchette brought in scores of 92 and 86 for a combined total of 178 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
