From January 4th to the 5th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Charleston Season Kickoff at Wild Dunes. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Boys Under 10, and Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.
Jermey Edmunds from Charlotte, NC was the first-place finisher.. King brought in scores of 75 and 79 for a combined total of 154. Cheney Connell from Blythewood, SC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 82 for a combined total of 161. Cameron Bassel from Lexington, KY was the third place finisher with weekend scores of 84 and 80 for a total of 164.
Rowan Sullivan from Charleston, SC was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with consistant scores of 75 for a combined total of 150. Miles Eubanks from Warrenville, SC was the runner up with scores of 77 and 76 for a weekend total of 153. To round out the top three honors was Sam McMillian from Mount Pleasant, SC. McMillian put up scores of 75 and 79 for a weekend total of 154.
Kai Marko was the first-place finisher this weekend. Marko brought in scores of 76 and 74 with a combined score of 150 for the weekend.
Blair Maner from Atlanta, GA was the top finisher with scores of 78 and 90 for a 168 stroke weekend finish. Alexandra Mathis from Daniel Island, SC took home the runner up title with scores of 90 and 96 for a weekend total of 186. Tristan Groff from Lancaster, PA rounded out the top three with scores of 93 and 99 for a combined total of 192.
Boys 10 Under
Sam Sprayberry from Mount Pleasant, SC was the top finisher with impressive scores of 78 and 80 for a 158 stroke weekend finish. Reid Davis from Charleston, SC was the second place finisher with scores of 92 and 95 for a weekend total of 187.
