From December 31, 2022 – January 1, 2023, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the ChampionsGate Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Boys 16-18

Josiah Tong from Heritage Pointe, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tong brought in scores of 71 and 73 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Isaiah Ibit from Orleans, Canada was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 72 for a combined total of 145. Konner Kubica from Lutz, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 72 and 74 for a weekend total of 146.
Boys 14-15

Taeyoung Lim from Suwon, Republic of Korea was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lim brought in scores of 68 both days for a combined total of 136 for the weekend. Grant Goslin from Tampa, FL was the runner up for the weekend. Goslin brought in scores of 76 both days for a total of 152 for the weekend. Seunghwa Baek from Cheonan-Si, Republic of Korea finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 77 for a weekend total of 155.
Boys 11-13

Darren Zhou from Hong Kong was the first-place finisher for the weekend. Zhou brough tin scores of 68 and 69 for a weekend total of 137. Jack Denery from Little Rock, AR was the runner up for the weekend. Denery brought in scores of 77 and 75 for a weekend total of 152. Giancarlo Aguirre from Lima, Peru finished the top three honors with scores of 80 and 74 for a weekend total of 154.
Girls 14-18
Sophia Li from New York, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Li brought in scores of 73 and 71 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Lily Zhang from Buffalo, NY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 69 for a weekend total of 145. Alexa Ouellet from Toronto, Canada finished the top three honros with scores of 77 and75 for a weekend total of 152.
Girls U13
Boys 10 Under

Jeremy Zhang from Lincoln, MA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Zhang brought in scores of 89 both days for a combined total of 178 for the weekend. Chase Perez from Elk Grove Village, IL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 89 and 93 for a combined total of 182.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
