Central New Jersey Junior Open

From September 11-12, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Central New Jersey Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Central New Jersey Junior Open

Noah Moelter from Doylestown, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Moelter brought in scores of 74 and 77 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Kevin Lafond from Blue Bell, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 77 for a combined total of 152. Christian Deussing from Solebury, PA finished with the top three honors. Deussing brought in scores of 77 and 77 to complete the weekend with a total score of 154.

Sam Feeney from West Chester, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Feeney brought in scores of 75 and 77 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Matthew LU from Basking Ridge, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 78 for a combined total of 159. Evan Sorensen from Middletown, NJ finished with the top three honors this weekend. Sorensen brought in scores of 80 and 82 for a weekend total of 162.

Tong Si from Millburn, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Si brought in scores of 73 and 77 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Colin McAskin from New York, NY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 80 for a combined total of 163. Preston Devieux from Mountainside, NJ finished the top three honors this weekend. Devieux brought in scores of 87 and 77 for a weekend total of 164.

Emma Reilly from Doylestown, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Reilly brought in scores of 76 and 83 for a combined total of 159 for the weekend. Serena Bagga from Blue Bell, PA and Amelia Shen from Tenafly, NJ  tied for this weekend’s runner up. Bagga’s scores for the weekend were 83 and 79 for a combined total of 162. Shen finished with scores of 76 and 86 for a weekend total of 162.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
