From October 22-23, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Celebration Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division
Boys 16-18
Matthew Joseph from Lakewood Ranch, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Joseph brought in scores of 75 and 71 for a combined total of 146 for the weekend. William Tang from Hong Kong, China was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 74 for a combined total of 148. Langtai Tyrone Sun from Merritt Island, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 73 and 80 for a weekend total of 153.
Boys 14-15
Ziyang Wang from Orlando, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wang brought in scores of 75 and 75 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Avery Liu from Windermere, Florida was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 81 for a combined total of 159. Xilai Zhang from Winter Garden, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 84 and 87 for a weekend total of 171.
Boys 11-13
Giancarlo Aguirre from Lima, Peru was the first-place finisher this weekend. Aguirre brought in scores of 73 and 71 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Logan Foxx from Sanford, Florida was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 73 for a combined total of 147. Braden Plaisted from Celebration, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 78 for a weekend total of 154.
Girls 14-18
Mia Bernier from San Juan, Puerto Rico was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bernier brought in scores of 76 and 87 for a combined total of 163 for the weekend.
Girls U13
Xiyao Zhang from Winter Garden, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Zhang brought in scores of 81 and 73 for a combined total of 154 for the weekend. Noha Ghadi from Rabat, Morocco was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 79 for a combined total of 155.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
