From April 16th-17th, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Cantigny Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Max Bruening from Caseyville, IL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bruening brought in scores of 78 and 72 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Tyler Wengronowitz from Arlington Heights, IL was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 75 and 80 for a combined total of 155. Parker Bruening from Caseyville, IL finished with top three honors with scores of 82 and 75 for a weekend total of 157.
Boys 14-15

Logan Keeter from Northbrook, IL was the first-place finisher after beating Beckett Jones in a playoff match. Keeter brought in scores of 84 and 81 for a combined total of 165 for the weekend. Beckett Jones from Naperville, IL was the runner-up this weekend after the playoff match with scores of 82 and 83 for a combined total of 165. Jack Hayhurst from Beecher, IL finished with top three honors with scores of 87 and 80 for a weekend total of 167.
Boys 11-13

Michael Hahn from Lake Forest, IL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hahn brought in scores of 86 and 87 for a combined total of 173 for the weekend. Akshay Mukund from Kildeer, IL was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 122 and 107 for a combined total of 229.
Girls 14-18

Sarah Thornton from Hinsdale, IL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Thornton brought in scores of 84 and 79 for a combined total of 163 for the weekend. Emmy Hollarbush from North Aurora, IL was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 81 and 85 for a combined total of 166. Katie Wehlus from Orland Park, IL finished with top three honors with scores of 87 and 94 for a weekend total of 181.
Girls U13

Emma Fiocchi from Kildeer, IL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Fiocchi brought in scores of 85 and 80 for a combined total of 165 for the weekend.
Boys 10 Under

Lucas Burkhart from Wheaton, IL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Burkhart brought in scores of 81 and 87 for a combined total of 168 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
