On Saturday, May 26 – Monday, May 28, 2018, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Canongate Series #4 in Sharpsburg, Georgia. The three-day, 54-hole event was made up of players in all six divisions that include the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 Division, Will Smith Boys 14-15 Division, Ernie Els Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18 Division, and the Justin Rose Girls U13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Nicholas Gibson of Duluth, Georgia won the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 Division shooting a total of 224 (+8). He led the field with the lowest scoring average (74.7) and the most birdies (10). His best performance in round 2 helped him take the lead, finishing 1 stroke below second place finisher, Jackson Buchanan who finished at 225 (+9). Augusta native, Owen Whitehead finished third with a total of 228.
Boys 14-15

In the Will Smith Boys 14-15 Division, Jake Peacock of Milton, Georgia, took home the victory finishing +8. He had the lowest scoring average of the field (74.7). Second-place finisher, Brendan Croft, out of Peachtree, Georgia, finished at +19. Peacock and Croft both shot 79 in the final round and had 6 birdies in the tournament. The player with the most birdies (10) on the weekend was Ryan Mowry of Peachtree City, Georgia who finished third.
Boys 11-13

Will Coffman from Sharpsburg, Georgia, placed first in the Ernie Els Boys 11-13 Division after shooting a total of 231. He led the field in lowest scoring average (77) and most birdies (8). Second place finisher, Aaron Stocks of Perry, Georgia, played his best in the final round (75) which helped him finish the tournament with a total of 237. Grant Langford, of LaFayette, Georgia, finished third with a total of 241.
Girls 14-18

In the Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18 Division, Sierra Fink of Canton, Georgia, took home the victory by finishing +7. She led the field with the lowest scoring average (74.3) and most birdies (8). Second place finisher, Liza Eubanks, finished with the longest birdie or better streak (2) and 5 birdies. Eubanks, from Peachtree City, Georgia, was +19 on the tournament.
Girls U13

Yvette Gorden’s successful round 3 (81) helped her clinch the victory in the Justin Rose Girls U13 Division. Gorden’s performance in all rounds totaled to 260. Second place finisher, Camryn Coffield, from Hamilton, Georgia, had the most birdies and shot 269 in the tournament.
Boys 10 Under

Channing Addington, of Watkinsville, Georgia, won Memorial Day Weekend for the Boys U10 division. His best round (84) in day 2 helped him finish the weekend with total shootings of 256. This is Addington’s sixth 1st place finish this year.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
