Callaway Gardens Junior Open

From January 18th to the 19th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Callaway Gardens Junior Open in Pine Mountain, Georgia. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format, with a field of six different divisions that include Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Boys u10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls u13.

Callaway Gardens Junior Open

Kipp Coker from Cohutta, Georgia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kipp brought in impressive scores of 74 and 75 for a total of 149 for the weekend. Nicholas Browning out of Dexter, Georgia was the runner up with scores of 80 and 79 for a total of 159. Colt Ingram from Aiken, South Carolina rounded out the top three honors with scores of 83 and 79 for a total of 162.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

Callaway Gardens Junior Open

Davis Gurley from Kimberly, Alabama brought home a first-place finish this weekend. Davis posted scores of 85 and 87 for a total of 172 strokes, claiming first-place on a playoff. William Stelt out of Auburn, Alabama was the runner up with scores of 87 and 85 for a total of 172. Happy Gilmore out of Bloomfield, Indiana rounded out the top three honors posting scores of 85 and 89 for a total of 174.

Kyle Huryn from Alpharetta, Georgia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kyle brought in solid scores of 80 and 82 for a total of 162. Kai Marko out of Roswell, Georgia was the runner up with scores of 80 and 84 for a total of 164 on the weekend. Rounding out the top three honors is William Sanders out of Gray, Tennessee with scores of 84 and 85 for a total of 169.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

Ashleigh Mead out of McDonough, Georgia brought home a first-place finish this weekend. Ashleigh had scores of 86 and 78 for a total of 164 on the weekend. Ella Manley from Calhoun, Georgia was the runner up with scores of 88 and 78 for a total of 166. Christian Williams out of Tallapoosa, Georgia rounded out the top three honors with scores of 84 and 88 for a total of 172.

Justin Rose Girls U13

Zoe Duvall out of Cumming, Georgia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Zoe posted scores of 74 and 79 for a total of 153. Grady Thomas out of Knoxville, Tennessee was the runner up with consistent scores of 89 in both rounds for a total of 178.

Joshua Chang out of Auburn, Alabama brought home the hardware this weekend. Joshua brought in consistent scores of 82 in both rounds for a 164 total. The runner up Asher Katz out of Ridgefield, Connecticut had scores of 89 and 93 for a total of 182.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
