Bulle Rock Junior Open

From April 3-4 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Bulle Rock Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.  

Boys 16-18

Hunter Stetson from Newtown Square, PA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Stetson finished with scores of 78 and 79 for a weekend total of 157. Jack Deosaran from Ashton, MD was the runner up for the weekend. Deosaran finished with scores of 76 and 83 for a weekend total of 159. John Bates from Chevy Chase, MD rounded out the top three honors. Bates brought in consistent scores of 80 for a final score of 160.

Ajeet Bagga from Blue Bell, PA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Bagga finished with scores of 86 and 77 for a weekend total of 163. Ryan Leach from Williamsburg, VA was the runner up for the weekend. Leach brought in scores of 80 and 84 for a weekend total of 164. Oliver Clark from Baltimore, MD rounded out the top three honors. Clark finished with scores of 84 and 85 for a weekend total of 169.

Aidan Tudor from Mount Airy, MD was the first place finisher for the weekend. Tudor finished with consistent scores 81 for a weekend total of 162. Nicolas Mantzouranis from Laytonsville, MD was the runner up for the weekend. Mantzouranis brought in scores of 89 amd 80 for a weekend total of 169. Ian Larsen from Glenmoore, PA rounded out the top three honors with scores of 88 and 83 for a weekend finish of 171.

Irene Kim from Woodstock, MD was the first place finisher for the weekend. Kim brought in consistent scores of 76 for a weekend total of 152. Victoria Matthews from Great Falls, VA was the runner up for the weekend. Matthews finished with scores of 75 and 79 for a weekend total of 154. Alana Alexander-Giles from Ellicott City, MD and Chaela Barnett from Hatboro, PA both tied for the top three honors for the weekend. Alexander-Giles brought in scores of 81 and 86 for a weekend total of 167. Barnett finished with scores of 85 and 82 for a weekend total of 167.

Piper Smith from Lancaster, PA as the runner up for the weekend. Smith finished with scores of 90 and 88 for a weekend total of 178. Sarah Wang from Mclean, VA rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Wang brought in scores of 91 and 90 for a weekend total of 181.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
