Boston Summer Junior Open

From June 5-6, 2021 the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Boston Summer Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division,  Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Boston Summer Junior Open

Nate Jordi from Mendon, MA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Jordi brought in scores of 75 and 83 for a combined total of 158 (+14) for the weekend. Chad Tordone from Barsnstable, MA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 84 for a combined total of 163 (+19). Simon Murray from Wellesley, MA finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 89 for a weekend total of 166 (+22).

John Scully from Winchester, MA secured first-place by playoff this weekend. Scully brought in scores of 78 and 81 for a combined total of 159 (+15) for the weekend. Stephen Ramos from Danville, NH was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 amd 79 for a combined total of 159 (+15). Jack Carstensen from Osterville, MA finished the top three honors with scores of 88 and 81 for a weekend total of 169 (+25).

Joey Iaciofano from Lincoln, RI was the first-place finisher this weekend. Iaciofano brought in scores of 85 and 82 for a combined total of 167 (+23) for the weekend. Hayes Holmgren from Hingham, MA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 86 for a combined total of 167 (+25). Gavin Lane from Wayland, MA finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 92 for a weekend total of 173 (+30).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
