From Saturday, April 27 – Sunday, April 28, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Bluffton Spring Junior Open at Palmetto Hall Plantation in Hilton Head Island, SC. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and the Justin Rose Division Girls 13 and Under.
Boys 16-18

Tommy Lamb of Cary, NC was on his game this past weekend, as he became the champion of the Tiger Woods Division. He finished the two-day tournament with 145 strokes. Four strokes behind him were silver medalists Oliver Paddon of Sydney, Australia and Kevin Smith of Wallingford, PA. Rounding out the podium was Andrew Choi of Englewood Cliffs, NJ with 153 strokes.
Boys 14-15

The top spot in the Will Smith Division went to Luke Guthrie of Charlotte, NC, as he finished with 162 strokes. There was a tie for the silver as Miles Eubanks of Warrenville, SC and Yi Dong Wang of Foshan, China each finished with 166 strokes.
Boys 11-13

Andrew Messalle of Savannah, GA was the champion of the Ernie Els division. He finished out the weekend with a strong 148 strokes. The silver went to Will Guthrie of Hilton Head Island, SC with 155 strokes. Just one stroke shy of silver was bronze medalist Dallas Johnson of Mount Pleasant, SC.
Girls 14-18

The champion of the Justin Timberlake Division was the one and only Katharina Hesse of Bremen, Germany with 149 strokes. The silver went to Lucia Pantigozo of Lima, Peru with 154 strokes. The final podium spot went to Hannah Conroy of Cheswick, PA with 164 strokes.
Girls U13

Honorine Nobuta Ferry of Pinehurst, NC earned the top spot in the Justin Rose Division as she finished with 167 strokes. Ava Estrella of Brookville, NY earned the silver with 235 strokes.

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
