On Saturday April 28- Sunday April 29, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Bluffton Junior Open at Palmetto Hall Plantation Club-Robert Cupp Course in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Boys Under 10 Division, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18 and the Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Boys 16-18

Ty Sullivan of Toronto, Ontario finished in first place in the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18. Ty finished with a two-day total score of 146(74-72) tied with Donnie Professori 146(72-74) before entering a sudden death playoff. Ty came out of the playoff with the win and Donnie Professori of Wexford, Pennsylvania fell short and came in second place. Alan Smith of Winchendon, Massachusetts finished in third place with a two-day total score of 147(72-75).
Boys 14-15

In the Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Grant Mahaffey of Richmond Hill, Georgia finished in first place with a two-day total score of 158(76-82). Mudit Rana of Noida came in second place with a two-day total score of 165(84-81). Ethan Bluhm of Old Greenwich, Connecticut finished in third place with a two-day total score of 173(85-88).
Boys 11-13

Dallas Johnson of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina finished in first place in the Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13. Dallas finished with a two-day total score of 154(77-77) tied with Patmon Malcom of Alpharetta, Georgia 154(78-76) before entering a sudden death playoff. Dallas came out of the playoff with the victory and Patmon fell short and finishing in second place. Ethan Smith of Marietta, Georgia came in third place with a two-day total score of 155(75-80).
Girls 14-18

Katharina Hesse of Bremen finished in first place in the Just Timberlake Division Girls 14-18 with a two-day total score of 150(76-74). Yeon Joo Kim of Seoul, South Kora came in second place with a two-day total score of 155(73-82). Sophie Anand of Albany, The Bahamas, NP finished in third place with a two-day total score of 156(77-79).
Girls U13

In the Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13 Amiyah Gibson of Battle Creek, Michigan finished in first place with a two-day total score of 242(120-122).
Boys 10 Under

In the Boys Under 10 Division Dane Chadwell finished in first place with a two-day total score of 165(83-82). Channing Addington of Watkinsville, Georgia came in second place with a two-day total score of 180(98-82).

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
