Bear Creek Fall Junior Open

From September 4-5, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Bear Creek Golf Club. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Yi Dong Wang from Foshan, China was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wang brought in scores of 76 and 77 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Jon Donwen from Trenton, SC and Cooper Duke from Tallahassee, FL tied for the runner up this weekend. Downen finished the weekend with scores of 79 and 81 for a combined total of 160.  Duke brought in scores of 79 and 81 for a combined total of 160 for the weekend.

Daniel Donato from Mount Pleasant, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Donato brought in scores of 75 and 76 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Talyn Childress from Rincon, GA and Braden Schnaible from Savannah, GA tied for this weekend’s runner up. Childress brought in scores of 75 and 80 for a combined total of 155. Schnaible brought in scores of 76 and 79 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend.

Hunter Hylton from Hilton Head Island, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hylton brought in scores of 75 and 77 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Eli Tillery from Eatonton, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 77 for a combined total of 157. Landry Williams from Hilton Head Island, SC finished the top three honors this weekend. Williams brought in scores of 83 and 84 for a weekend total of 167.

Bear Creek Fall Junior Open

Robbin Zetrouer from Bluffton, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend with a playoff win against Noe Hirota from Tokyo, Japan. Zetrouer brought in scores of 84 and 85 for a combined total of 169 for the weekend. Hirota finished with scores of 82 and 87 for a combined total of 169. Samantha Torres from Seattle, WA, Ashlynn Weir from Newburgh, IN, and Biya Wang from Guanzhou, China all tied for the top three honors. Torres brought in scores of 90 and 91 for a combined 181. Weir finished this weekend with scores of 91 and 90 for a combined 181 for the weekend. Wang brought in scores of 87 and 94 for a combined 181.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
