From Saturday July 27th through Sunday July 28th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Augusta Summer Junior Open.The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau boys 10 and Under, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18 and Justin Rose Girl 13 and Under division.

Kanapos Visuttipinate of Florida was able to take home first place honors after rounds of 69 and 75. Visuttipinate had a total of 144 strokes for the weekend to win by a four-shot margin over his closest competitor. Panop Norasing of Orlando, FL had a final round 75 on Sunday to finish at a total of 148 strokes and claim solo runner-up honors. Rounding up the top-three was Boland Grayson of Louisville, KY with a weekend total of 149 strokes to claim third-place honors.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

Augusta Summer Junior Open

Daniel Olaya of Spain was able to take home first place honors after a round of 80 and 71 for a total of 151. Garrett Armburst of Georgia finished with a 151 to claim solo runner-up honors. Rounding up the top three was Pannawit Leelalumlert of Orlando, FL with a weekend totals of 154 strokes for third place honors.

Ernie Els 11-13

Augusta Summer Junior Open

Ethan Coffield of Hamilton, GA was able to seal his victory with a final round of 78 and a total of 155 strokes. Coffield made 7 birdies over the weekend to win by seven-shot margin over his closest competitor. Haonan Xie of China shot a total of 162 strokes with consistent weekend rounds to claim solo runner-up honors for the division. Rounding up the top-three was Richard Anaclerio of Aiken, SC with a weekend total of 164 shots to take third place honors.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

Alejandra Galla of Palm Beach Gardens, FL claimed first place honors after shooting rounds of 76 and 74to win by a three-shot margin over her closest competitor. Galla shot a total of 150 strokes, making 5 birdies over the weekend to win. Yourong Chu of China had a weekend total of 153 shots to claim solo runner-up honors, making 2 birdies the last day. Rounding up the division was Jiayi Zhang of China with a weekend total of 156 strokes to claim third-place honors.

Justin Rose Girls U13

Ariana Urrea of Peru claimed first place honors after shooting rounds of 73 and 69 to win by a seven-shot margin over her closest competitor. Urrea had a weekend total of 142 strokes with 5 birdies the last day to win. Camryn Coffield of Hamilton, GA had a total of 155 strokes to claim solo runner-up honors for the weekend. Rounding up the top three was Shuyi Cao of China with weekend totals of 157 shots to claim third-place honors.

Evans made 3 birdies on Sunday to win by an impressive margin over his closest competitor. Following him was Haoting Zhou of New York, NY with a weekend total of 171 strokes, and a final round 84 to claim runner-up honors.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
