From May 1-2, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Atlanta Spring Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Ethan Kelly from Swanee, GA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Kelly brought in scores of 79 and 73 for a weekend total of 152. James Burns from Ringgold, GA and John Kenneth Walters from Cohutta, GA tied for the runner up honors this weekend. Burns brought in scores of 80 and 73 and Walters brought in scors of 76 and 77 for a weekend total of 153.
Boys 14-15

Kenneth Cox from Johns Creek, GA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Cox finished with scores of 89 and 92 for a weekend total of 171. Jack Hutcheson from Johsn Creek, GA was thr runner up for the weekend. Hutcheson brought in scores of 81 and 92 for a weekend total of 173. Jake Kercher from Atalnta, GA rounded out the top three honors for the weekend with scores of 104 and 83 for a weekend total of 187.
Boys 11-13

Ves Butler from Athens, GA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Butler finished with scores of 74 and 78 for a weekend total of 152. Ethan Nie from Johns Creek, GA was the runner up for the weekend. Nie brought in scores of 79 and 83 for a weekend total of 162. Kaiden Drum from Marietta, GA rounded out the third place honors with scores of 79 and 84, a weekend finish of 163.
Girls 14-18

Lucy Wiegert from Cochran, GA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Wiegert finished with scores of 80 and 83 for a weekend total of 163. Nadia Brown from Newnan, GA was the runner up for the weekend. Brown brought in scores of 86 and 87 for a weekend total of 173. Tatum Thompson from Marietta, GA rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Thompson finished with scores of 84 and 90 for a weekend total of 174.
Girls U13

Molly Spector from Atlanta, GA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Spector finished with consistent scores of 80 for a weekend total of 160. Kathryn DeLoach from Athens, GA was the runner up for the weekend. DeLoach finished with scores of 85 and 80 for a weekend total of 165. Vivian Lott from Fayetteville, GA rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Lott finished with scores of 92 and 91 for a weekend total of 183.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
