From May 2nd -3rd , the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Atlanta Spring Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10,  Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Jack Schoenberger from Alpharetta, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Schoenberger brought in scores of 70 and 74 for a combined total of 144l for the weekend. Avery Stansell from Homewood, AL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 76 for a combined total of 151. Jake Peacock from Milton, GA finished the top three honors with scores of 75 and 77 for a weekend total of 152.

Anthony Purcea, from Buford, GA was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 75 and 80 for a combined total of 155. William Stelt from Auburn, AL was the runner up with scores of 76 and 81for a 157. Cole Humphrey from McDonough, GA finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 83 for a weekend total of 161.

Patmon Malcom from Alpharetta, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Malcom brought in scores of 69 and 71 with a combined score of 140. Kai Marko from Roswell, GA was the second-place finisher with consistant scores of 74 for a total of 148. To round out the top three was Kyle Huryn from Alpharetta, GA. Huryn ended the weekend with consistent scores of 78 for a total of 156.

Iris Cao from Duluth, GA was the top finisher with impressive scores of 77 and 74 for a 151 weekend finish. Sharon Mun from Duluth, GA took home the runner up title with scores of 82 and 71 for a weekend total of 153.  Reagan Southerland from Atlanta, GA rounded out the top three with scores of 79 and 76 a combined total of 155.

Kathryn DeLoach from Athens, GA was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with consistant scores of 84 for a total 168. Georgia Bosart from Greensboro, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 88 and 83, a combined total of 171 strokes. Emerson Elm from Suwanee, GA rounded out the top three with scores of 88 and 85 a combined total of 173.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
