From March 20th to March 21st, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held theRichmond Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Andrew Gwilliams from Bradford, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gwilliams brought in scores of 73 and 70for a combined total of 143 for the weekend. Matthew Peesker from Toronto, Canada was the runner up for the weekend with consistent scores of 75 for a combined total of 150. Ryan Zhao from Toronot, Canada finished with the top three honors. Zhao brought in scores of 78 and 77 for a weekend total of 155.
Boys 14-15

Eric Zhao from Toronto, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Zhao brought in scores of 78 and 70 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Alex Da Hwan Jung from Orlando, FL took home the runner up honors this weekend. Da Hwan Jung finished with scores of 77 and 75 for a weekend total of 152. Elisey Antropenko from Moscow, Russia and Steven Liu from Lake Mary, FL tied for the top three honors. Antropenko brought in scores of 76 and 78 for a final total of 154. Liu finished with a 81 and 73 for a final total of 154.
Boys 11-13

Nicklaus Downing from Windermere, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Downing brought in scores of 80 and 74 for a combined total of 154 for the weekend. Asher Katz from Ridgefield, CT was the runner up for the weekend. Katz finished with scores of 89 and 85 for a combined total of 174. Jack Yaggi from Pound Ridge, NY took home the top three honors for the weekend. Yaggi brought in scores of 107 and 99 for a total of 206.
Girls 14-18

Caroline Nemes from Orlando, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Nemes brought in scores of 70 and 75 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Honorine Nobuta Ferry from Pinehurst, NC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 73 for a combined total of 153. Angela Wang from Windermere, FL finished with the top three honors with scores of 83 and 74 for a weekend total of 157.
Girls U13

Arabella Lopez from Ridgefield, CT was the first place finisher this weekend. Lopez brought in scores of 87 and 83 for a combined total of 170 for the weekend.Emilee Ferguson from Sandy Hook, CT took home the runner up honors for the weekend. Ferguson brought in scores of 119 and 122 for a total of 241.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
