Academy Cup Series #4

From September 28th to the 29th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held theAcademy Cup Series #4. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10,  Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Academy Cup Series #4

Jason Velez, of the Jones Golf Academy was the first-place finisher this weekend. Velez brought in scores of 76 and 70 for a combined total of 146for the weekend. Matthew Peesker, Michael Donnelly and OwenGauder, of the Golf Performance Coaches, all tied for second place each with a combined weekend total of 149.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

Academy Cup Series #4

Matthew McGoldrick of the Jones Golf Academy andAleksandar Perak of the Golf Performance Coaches both tied for first place with a combined weekend total of 159. Tyler Vitolo of the Golf Performance Center finished the top three honors with scores of 81and 80 for a weekend total of 161

Ernie Els 11-13

Academy Cup Series #4

Matthew DiFiore, of the Kelley Brooke Golf Academy was the first-place finisher this weekend. DiFiore brought in scores of 69 and 72 with a combined score of 141. Joseph Dolezal, of the Kelley Brooke Golf Academy was the second-place finisher with scores of 79 and 74 for a total of 153. To round out the top three was Austin Barrett, of the Kelley Brooke Golf Academy. Looney ended the weekend with scores of 81 and 73for a total of 154.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

Academy Cup Series #4

Sofia Nogolo of the Golf Performance Center was the top finisher with impressive scores of 84 and 81 for a 165 weekend finish. Cecilia Roegner took home the runner up title with scores of 90 and 89 for a weekend total of 179. Allison Amoruso of the Kelly Brooke Golf Academy rounded out the top three with scores of 94 and 91 for a combined total of 185 .

Justin Rose Girls U13

Academy Cup Series #4

Sophia Li of the Kelly Brooke Golf Academy was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 82 and 78 . Her combined total for the weekend was 160 strokes. Victoria Guerrero of the Kelly Brooke Golf Academy was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 85 for a combined total of 170 strokes. Rebecca Roegner of the Golf Performance Center rounded out the top three with scores of 90 and 88 for a combined total of 178 .

Boys 10 Under

Academy Cup Series #4

Emerson Stumpf of the Kelly Brook Golf Academy was the first-place finisher this weekend. Stumpf brought in scores of 90 and 87 with a combined score of 177. Logan Reany of the Jones Golf Academy took home the runner up title with scores of 125 and 114 for a combined weekend total of 239.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
