From the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the 54-Hole Open at Innisbrook. The tournament was made up of a 54-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Boys 16-18

Daniel Montalvo from Mexico City, Mexico was the first-place finisher this weekend. Montalvo brought in scores of 73, 72 and 74 for a combined total of 219 strokes for the weekend. Sebastian Thrane from Jupiter, FL tied with Jake Peacock from Milton, GA. Thrane shot 77, 70 and 76 while Peacock shot 78,76 and a 1 under 69 to tie for second place with a total of 223 strokes.
Boys 14-15

Chenqi Wu, from Bradenton, FL was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 80, 73 and 73 for a combined total of 226. Rayan Nabilzabeh from Stanford, CT was the runner up with scores of 76, 79 and 78 for a 233 weekend total. Bennett Espenshade from Baltimore, MD finished the top three honors with scores of 87, 74 and 76 for a weekend total of 237.
Boys 11-13

CJ Kemble, from North Port, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kemble brought in scores of 80, 78 and 77 with a combined score of 235. Vihaan Reddy from San Antonio, TX was the second-place finisher with scores of 78, 81 and 82 for a total of 241. To round out the top three was Jizhou Tian from Lake Mary, FL. Tian ended the weekend with scores of 81, 80 and 81 for a total of 242.
Girls 14-18

Delia Gibbs from Lexington, KY was the top finisher with impressive scores 73, 71 and 77 for a 221 stroke weekend finish. Jasmine Chen from Pleasanton, CA took home the runner up title with scores of 81, 72 and 76 for a weekend total of 229. Laetita Roegner from Greenwich, CT rounded out the top three with scores of 79, 79 and 81 for a combined total of 239.
Girls U13

Chloe Chang, from Sarasota, FL was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 70, 69 and 76. Her combined total for the weekend was 215 strokes. Jiezheng Huang from Beijing, China was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76,73 and 75 a combined total of 224 strokes. Ann-Sophie Bourgault, from Mont Tremblant, Canada finished third with scores of 76, 79 and 80 for a combined total of 235 strokes.
Boys 10 Under

Joachim Ulmo from Oppegard, Norway was the top finisher with impressive scores of 88, 87 and 90 for a 265 weekend finish. John Rose from Chicago, IL took home the runner up title with scores of 99, 99 and 89 for a weekend total of 287.

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
