54 Hole Junior Open at Orange County National

From July 30- August 1, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the 54 Hole Junior Open at Orange County National. The tournament was made up of a 54-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Lucas Vidal Garcia from Santiago, Chile was the first-place finisher this weekend. Garcia brought in scores of 78, 73, and 66 for a combined total of 217 for the weekend. Shinchi Sai from Lake Mary, Florida was the runner up with scores of 72, 79, and 71 for a combined total of 222. Agustin Garro from La Pampa, Argentina finished the top three honors with scores of 78, 73, and 73 for a weekend total of 224.

Miguel Angel Aliseda Rivero from DF, Mexico was the first-place finisher this weekend, Rivero brought in scores of 71, 81, and 72 for a combined total of 224. Ethan Lim, from Singapore, Singapore and Jeremias Porta Araoz tied for the runner up this weekend with scores of 77, 76, and 72, and 74, 75, and 76, respectively, for a total of 225 each.

Hector Perez Sainz from Mexico City, Mexico was the first-place finisher this weekend. Perez brought in scores of 71, 75, and 74 for a combined total of 220 for the weekend. Juan Antonio Aliseda Alvarado from DF, Mexico was the runner up with scores of 76, 67, and 78 for a combined total of 221. Harper Staggs from Little Rock, Arkansas finished the top three honors with scores of 78, 80, and 71 for a weekend total of 229.

Ariana Urrea from Windemere, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend after beating Zoe Pinillos, from Trujillo, Peru in a playoff match. Urrea brought in scores of 77, 75, and 74 for a combined total of 226 for the weekend. Pinillos was the runner up with scores of 80, 71, and 75 for a combined total of 226. Amy DeKock from Palm Desert, California finished the top three honors withs cores of 72, 75, and 80 for a weekend total of 227.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
