From February 18-20, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the 54 Hole Huntsville Junior Open at Hampton Cove. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Theo Desroches from Saint-Sauveur, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Desroches brought in scores of 75, 82, and 74 for a combined total of 231 for the weekend. Maxwell Johnson from Daniel Island, SC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76, 74, and 81 for a combined total of 231. Desroches defeated Johnson in a playoff. Kyle Huryn from Alpharetta, GA finished the top three honors with scores of 77, 80, and 80 for a weekend total of 237.
Jack Gibbs from Duluth, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gibbs brought in scores of 81, 75, and 79 for a combined total of 235 for the weekend. Wyatt Manner from Chattanooga, TN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79, 78, and 86 for a combined total of 243. Brandon Yabandith from St. Michael, MN the top three honors with scores of 93, 76, and 77 for a weekend total of 246.
Jay Gupta from Auburn, AL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gupta brought in scores of 84, 80, and 84 for a combined total of 248 for the weekend.
Chloe Ruble from Athens, AL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Ruble brought in scores of 88, 77, and 81 for a combined total of 246 for the weekend. Esha Gupta from Auburn, AL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84, 88, and 81 for a combined total of 253. Maya Fujisawa Keuling from Carmel, IN finished the top three honors with scores of 90, 92, and 83 for a weekend total of 265.
Ella Souli from Ostego, MN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Souli brought in scores of 96, 96, and 93 for a combined total of 285 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
