54 Hole College Prep Series at Duke

From February 19th-21st, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the 54 Hole College Prep Series at Duke. The tournament was made up of a 54-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

54 Hole College Prep Series at Duke

Rich Wills from Cramerton, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wills brought in scores of 73, 40, and 73 for a combined total of 186 for the weekend. Markus Pierre from Marion, MA, and Ryan Stendahl from Maple Grove, MN tied for runner-up this weekend. Pierre brought in scores of 80, 37, and 76, and Stendahl brought in 79, 37, and 77 for a combined total of 193 each.

Jack Wiley from Raleigh, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wiley brought in scores of 80, 39, and 77 for a combined total of 196 for the weekend. Neil Kulkarni from Ashburn, VA was the runner-up for the weekend with scores of 82, 38, and 78 for a combined total of 198. Harrison Zipfel from University City, MO finished top three honors with scores of 82, 38, and 81 for a weekend total of 201.

Zachary Berger from Remsenburg, NY was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 82, 38, and 81 for a combined total of 201. Finn Watson from Arlington, VA finished top three honors with scores of 86, 38, and 80 for a weekend total of 204.

Gwendolyn Powell from Madison Twp., PA and Karolyn Rombouts from Florence, CA tied for the first-place finisher this weekend. Powell brought in scores of 89, 42, and 79 and Rombouts brought in 82, 43, and 85 for a combined total of 210 each. Aj Powell from Appleton, WI finished the top three honors with scores of 88, 41, and 82 for a weekend total of 211.

Lauren Davis from Holly Springs, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Davis brought in scores of 93, 50, and 90 for a combined total of 233 for the weekend. Jessica Zhao from Basking Ridge, NJ was the runner-up for the weekend with scores of 94, 49, and 94 for a combined total of 237. Ciana Tzuo from New York, NY finished with top three honors with scores of 102, 53, and 102 for a weekend total of 257.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
