54 Hole Canongate Series #8

From August 31st and September 2nd,the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Indiana Junior Open54 Hole Canongate Series #8. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13,Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Trevor Bassett of McDonough, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bassett brought in scores of 77, 69 and 70 for a combined total of 216 for the weekend. Ryan Mowry of Peachtree, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78, 73 and 70 for a combined total of 221. Tucker Sutton of Fayetteville, GA finished the top three honors with scores of 77, 75 and 70 for a weekend total of 222.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

54 Hole Canongate Series #8

Cole Humphrey, from McDonough, GA was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 87, 72 and 81 for a combined total of 240. Will Buckholtz from Newnan, GA was the runner up with scores of 84, 82 and 81 for a 247 weekend total. To round out the top three was Jayden Bevillard from Fayetteville, GA. Bevillard ended the weekend with scores of 83, 89 and 82 for a total of 254.

Aarom Stocks from Perry, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend.Stocks brought in scores of 75,75, and 72 with a combined score of 222. Jackson Cavanaugh from Newnan, GA was the second-place finisher with scores of 76, 69, and 79 for a total of 224. To round out the top three was Ethan Coffield from Hamilton, GA. Coffield ended the weekend with scores of 78, 79, and 82 for a total of 239.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

54 Hole Canongate Series #8

Yvette Gordon from Pike Road, AL was the top finisher with impressive scores of 80, 79 and 76 for a 235 weekend finish. Gabriela Mead from Miami, FL took home the runner up title with scores of 83, 83, and 72 for a weekend total of 248.  Mahima Vurupatur from Alpharetta, GA rounded out the top three with scores of 84, 77 and 81 combined total of 252.

Cameryn Coffield from Hamilton, GA was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 75, 68, and 72. Her combined total for the weekend was 215 strokes. Alisa Pressley from Flowery Branch, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 89, 92 and 82, for a  combined total of 263 strokes.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
