From January 14-16, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the 2023 Hurricane Cup. The tournament was made up of a 54-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division. The South team ended the weekend with a combined total of 1481 and ultimately defeated the North team who ended the weekend with a combined total of 1511.
Boys 16-18

Jacob Kutner representing the South was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kutner brought in scores of 81, 71, and 80 for a combined total of 232 for the weekend. Leo Romano representing the North was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79, 79, and 78 for a combined total of 236. Blake Steensland representing the North finished the top three honors with scores of 86, 75, and 77 for a weekend total of 238.
Boys 14-15

Aiden Aguilar representing the South was the first-place finisher this weekend. Aguilar brought in scores of 75, 71, and 80 for a combined total of 226 for the weekend. James Nagle representing the South was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83, 74, and 82 for a combined total of 239. Ryan Cronin representing the North finished the top three honors with scores of 90, 76, and 74 for a weekend total of 240.
Boys 11-13

Nolan DeForest representing the South was the first-place finisher this weekend. DeForest brought in scores of 77, 81, and 73 for a combined total of 231 for the weekend. Giancarlo Aguirre representing the North was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84, 76, and 73 for a combined total of 233. Anthony Primo IV representing the North and Patrick Shawger representing the South both finished out the three honors. Primo IV’s 84, 77, and 73 and Shawger’s 81, 72, and 81 tied for a combined 234.
Girls 14-18

Isabella Bugg representing the South was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bugg brought in scores of 75, 76, and 73 for a combined total of 224 for the weekend. Christine Chang representing the South was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78, 76, and 71 for a combined total of 225. Grace Anderson representing the North finished the top three honors with scores of 80, 77, and 75 for a weekend total of 232.
Girls U13

Grace Carter representing the South was the first-place finisher this weekend. Carter brought in scores of 73, 76, and 69 for a combined total of 218 for the weekend. Noha Ghadi representing the South was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84, 76, and 79 for a combined total of 239. Annika Hendrickson representing the North finished the top three honors with scores of 78, 82, and 80 for a weekend total of 240.
Boys 10 Under

Danilo Custer representing the South was the first-place finisher this weekend. Custer brought in scores of 82, 76, and 73 for a combined total of 231 for the weekend. Jeremy Zhang representing the North was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 89, 89 and 83 for a combined total of 261. Liam Rotatori representing the North finished the top three honors with scores of 102, 92, and 101 for a weekend total of 295.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
