The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be traveling to Anderson, South Carolina on April 19-20 for the Upstate Junior Classic. The tournament is being held at the scenic Cobb’s Glen Country Club. This championship course offers a challenge set in the calm South Carolina countryside. The Upstate Junior Classic is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 11-18. This tournament has a lot up for grabs. The champion in each division will win AJGA Performance Stars if their respective field size requirements are met. Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings, Tarheel Youth Golf Association points and South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage points will be awarded to all divisions. The winners in each division will receive an automatic bid into the HJGT 2014 Tour Championship and Mid-Season Invitational. Additionally, the top ten finishers will receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup. The tournament will be a two day, 36-hole, stroke play event. The first round will begin on Saturday with a single tee start running from 10AM – 2:30PM. The second round, on Sunday, will be a double tee start with times ranging from 8AM - 10AM. The registration fee is $185 for members and $215 for non-members. Cobb’s Glen County Club, is a championship, eighteen hole golf course, located in Anderson, South Carolina that will inspire your respect from its first tee. Cobb’s Glen was designed and built in 1976 by world renowned architect, George Cobb. The course is pristine and peaceful while remaining difficult enough for every golfer. The mature, plush fairways are not too tight, but neither are they very forgiving. The Tif-Eagle Hybrid Bermuda greens were installed in August of 2012 and are fast and well bunkered. The charming beauty surrounding the course offers a one of kind golfing experience.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
