The Brooks Brother Open at Darkhorse
(June 17th-18th 2017)
On June 17th 2017 the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Sacramento, California to host the Brooks Brother Open at Darkhorse at Darkhorse Golf Club. We would like to thank the Darkhorse Golf Club for allowing us to host this wonderful event at their facility. It was a warm weekend in Sacramento, and the course was setup well for some great scoring conditions. This led to some great golf and low rounds.
Boys 16-18

Jared Lee of Fremont, CA was the winner of the Boys 16-18 age group. Lee shot a total of 152 (80-72) to win the group. Lee shot even par in the final round to cement his victory. Patrick Foderhase of Reno, NV came in second after shooting a 158 (79-79). Foderhase’s consistency lead to his second-place finish. In third was Zarak Niazi of Elk Grove, CA with a total of 159(83-76). Niazi was only 1 shot off second place after posting a low second round score. The Boys 16-18 field was a close and entertaining competition. Boys 14-15

Connor Wierman of Oro Valley, AZ was the Boys 14-15 age group champion. Connor shot an incredible 73 in round 2 to finish was a total of 155 (82-73). Connor was the only member of the Boys 14-15 field, he played well all weekend on the tough course. Thanks for coming out and competing with us Connor. Boys 11-13

Zachary Pollo from Rocklin California was the winner for the Boys 11-13 age division. Zachary shot a three under round 69 on Saturday and followed that with an even par round 72 on Sunday. The second-place finisher Domonic Crofut of Cameron Park California, he shot a 79 on Saturday and then a 74 on Sunday for a total of 153. Both of these boys demonstrated tremendous poise while conquering a difficult golf course. Girls 14-18

Madison Green from Davis California was the winner for the Girls 14-18 age division. She shot an 80 on Saturday and a 73 on Sunday for a total of 153. Madison was able to Dympana by just 2 strokes. Dymphna Ueda from Concord California was the second-place finisher shooting 76 on Saturday and 79 Sunday for a total of 155. Helen Ye the third place finisher from Redwood City California shot a 81 on Saturday and Sunday for a final total of 162. All of these girls did an excellent job this weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
