The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is in its full summer swing, making stops all across the sunshine state and all parts of the Southeast, and the HJGT will be rolling into Orlando on July 6-7. The Summer Classic at Eagle Creek will be hosted by Eagle Creek Golf Club and it promises to be a great event with a strong, competitive field. There are AJGA Performance Stars available for champions in the Boys 15-18 and Girls 15-18 divisions, as well as the Boys 11-14 division if there are 20 players in that division. Champions in those divisions will also receive an exemption into a Florida Junior Tour event. Winners in all four divisions will receive an invitation to the 2013 Tour Championship and a $50 Kikkor Golf gift card. In addition, top ten finishers will receive points toward the inaugural Hurricane Cup as well as other end of the year honors like All-HJGT teams and state teams. The Summer Classic at Eagle Creek will also be the first event of the summer to feature the Summer Series Member Guest. Members will play with a guest on Friday, July 5, in a combined stroke play event. Winners will receive great prizes and it promises to be a great way to prepare for Saturday’s opening round. The 36-hole stroke play tournament will begin Saturday with a 7:30AM start off both tees, and will conclude Sunday with a double tee start at 7:30AM as well. Registration for members is $179 and $199 for non-members. There is also an all inclusive option for $324 that includes tournament fee as well as the entry fee for the Member Guest that includes lunch as well as a Member Guest dinner with awards. Eagle Creek Golf Club is one of Orlando’s finest golf courses, ranked 4.5 stars by Golf Digest. It is the first golf course in Florida to feature the technologically advanced mini-verde greens, resulting in fast, vibrant greens. The Howard Swan design is sure to test golfers of every level.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment.
