The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be heading to Port St. Lucie, Florida when they host the Space Coast Junior Open. This tournament is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 11-18. Being played at the glorious Sandpiper Golf Course at Club Med, this tournament has a lot up for grabs. The champion in each division will win AJGA Performance Stars if their respective field size requirements are met. National Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings will be awarded as well as Florida Junior Tour Exemptions. Winners in each division will receive an automatic bid into the HJGT 2014 Tour Championship and Mid-Season Invitational. Additionally, the top ten finishers will receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup. The Space Coast Junior Open will be a two day, 36-hole, stroke play event. The first round will begin on Saturday with a single tee start running from 8AM-11AM. The second round, on Sunday, will also be a single tee start with times ranging from 9AM-12PM. The registration fee is $185 for members and $215 for non-members. For 2014 membership information please refer to our website. Sandpiper Golf Club offers a first rate golfing experience in a strikingly beautiful location next to the St. Lucie River. Designed by Mark Mahannah, ASGCA, the Sandpiper golf course opened in 1961. The 18-hole course is 6,833 yards from the tips for a par 72, and also features a 30-tee driving range. Featuring towering palm trees along the lush fairways, this course is challenging for golfers of all ages.  This course features perfectly sloped greens, beautiful water features, and exotic animal life native to the area.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland, Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania.
