Sarasota Jr. Challenge August 8-9

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Sarasota, FL for the Sarasota Junior Challenge played at the Ritz Carlton Members Golf Course August 8-9th. Winners in all divisions received an exemption into the 2015 Tour Championship December 5-6, 2015. Top 20 finishers receive points towards year-end honors and top 5 finishers recieved AJGA PBE Stars.

Sarasota B15-18
Sarasota B13-14

Brothers Yuki Fujii and Marc Kaneko Fujii won the Boys 15-18 and 13-14 division respectively. Yuki shot a two under, two-day total of 142 for the low score of the tournament and to win by 8 strokes. Tampa native Aaron Tobin finished in second with a two-day total of 150. Yukis brother Marc also won his division, victorious by nine strokes over Tampa native Carson Moran. He shot a two-day total of 155 shooting division lows of 79 and 76.

Sarasota G15-18

Huize Lian took down very tough Girls 15-18 field by five strokes to gather her first win of the season here on the Hurricane Tour. Her first round 70 propelled her to the front of the leaderboard and she stayed consistent on the second day shooting a 72 for a two-under, two-day total of 142. Bradenton, FL native Gabrielle Tomeo finished in second with a two-day total of 147 and Oviedo native Erika Neger finished in third with a 156 two-day total. Congratulations to all the winner and high finishers.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment.
