San Diego Jr. Shootout Recap - March 26-27

San Diego Jr Shootout at Twin Oaks Golf Course

March 26-27, 2016

On Thurs., March 24, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to San Marcos, Calif., to host the San Diego Junior Shootout at Twin Oaks Golf Course. With great weather in the forecast, the kids were ready to make their mark on the tour’s second tournament in the San Diego region of California. The weather for the tournament days couldn’t have been better. Saturday was sunny with a breeze, which made for a great way to start out the tournament. The weather stayed the same on Sunday, making it beautiful for some golf. On both days, the field of players received near ideal conditions, minus some windy spirts during the day, which led to great scoring. The HJGT would like to thank the Twin Oaks staff for allowing us to host our San Diego Jr Shootout at a great venue. Winners of each division received an invitation to the 2016 Tour Championship on Dec. 3-4, while top three finishers in each division received invitations to the 2016 Druh Belts Mid Season Invitational on June 11-13 at Chateau Elan in Braselton, Ga.
