The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) invites you to play in the Sacramento Junior Shootout. This event will be held at Haggin Oaks Golf Course in Sacramento, Calif. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to play one of California’s premier golf courses! The Sacramento Junior Shootout is open to all golfers between the ages of 8-18. The event will have Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranking (JGS), winners in each division will receive in an invitation to the 2016 Tour Championship December 3-4, 2016, top three in each division will receive an invitation to the 2016 Mid Season Invitational at Chateau Elan June 11-13, 2016, and top-10 finishers receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup. Also, players in the states of TX, AZ, CA, NV, CO, WA, and OR who place on their respective HJGT Hurricane Cup team will earn a no-cost, Hurricane Cup exemption as well as a complimentary 2-night hotel stay courtesy of the HJGT! American Junior Golf Association
- This event does not have guaranteed AJGA stars. If this event meets the minimum requirements for any age division we will submit it to the AJGA for consideration. The minimums are as follows: Boys 14-15/Boys 16-18 = 40 players, Boys 11-13 = 20 players, Girls 14-18 = 12 players, and Girls under 13 = 6 players.
Junior Golf Scoreboard
- Any division in which five or more competitors complete at least a 36-hole event.
This event is a two-day, 36-hole event. Both rounds will begin with a single tee start from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Registration for members is $209 and $259 for non-members. Haggin Oaks is rich in history as the likes of Sam Snead, Jimmy Demaret and Walter Hagen have all teed it up on this Alister MacKenzie design. It is also the site of Ben Hogan’s first professional paycheck – The Hawk made $350 here for a third-place finish in the 1938 Sacramento Open. At the Sacramento Junior Shootout, players will have the chance to carve out their own piece of history in Sacramento. Yardages for this event are as follows: Boys 10U: 4,896; Girls 13U: 5,201; Boys 11-13/Girls 14-18: 5,628; Boys 14-15/16-18: 6,676.
